20200503_110951.jpg Was hoping the new factory rear screen seal came ready with holes etc for two stage demister wiring, wrong.
Came up with the idea of the $10 hole punch tool to make the holes rather than using soldering iron to burn through. Did a practice hole in old seal, looks to be good. These really were hand built cars.

If you have trouble with the punch, just use a thin razor blade to slice a small hole to feed the wire through. Feeding those wires through and seating them neatly -and correctly - in the seal is right up there with the ****tiest jobs on these cars. It’s hard on the fingers!

Just finished putting screens and sunroof back.in.
couldn't wait to wash as needed to drive it again and get a carton of beer to celebrate.
                      Next, oil leaks and clutch.

Congrats on the work Sean. Always loved a nice 3 litre Carrera. The beers sound a good way to celebrate! Nev

Just got back from grabbing a coffee surf check.
swell is up, back roads empty.
