    550 Rep

    Love this...

I would be really interested to know how it is registered and whether the rego would be transferable to another state... Is there a mod-plate? WA seems to have the most relaxed registration in the country...

i think i'd almost prefer this...

    '69 Karmann Ghia, 3.6l Porsche 993 engine refined with GT3 Cup parts. 320HP, 386nm, 3.55kg/HP, 190MPH, 7250RPM = Ghia 993 RS. Enjoy! http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/1449/74374127.jpg

except I am sure it would be a whole lot more than the $50k asking on the 550 rep...

LHD and I am not sure of the build date. is this an early 80's McRae?

If ...its got full rego a part explanation for the engine is that WA don't (or didn't) have capacity to do emissions testing. A reason why another car in WA is running a 914 engine. Though they added cats and other gear to make it more rego 'friendly'.

I knew McRae had set up for LHD chassis and I believe a couple were built - not sure if a complete car though. Could be an 80's build car. Expect there would be some 'engineering' issues to sort in transferring interstate - ICV?

Imagine TYP550 site probably has it listed with some info?

...and now a RHD version with a 2.4L and 915 gearbox; and already on club reg in Vic!

          Cheers
