    1967 Porsche 912 for sale

I’ve recently purchased a GT3 & looking to sell my 912 to help fund it. I’ve owned this car twice & if reaction at Fed Square is any guide I expect it will generate some interest. I thought I’d give the 901’ers first option before expanding to carsales & gumtree next week….

The car spent its early life in Hollywood & arrived in Sydney in 1989 after which it was converted to RHD. From what I can tell it’s a four owner car (excluding the cheeky devil who flipped it in 2008), being two owners in USA from 1967-1989, one owner in Sydney 1989-2008 & then me since early 2008. The body was restored in the 90's by Sheens in Lane Cove. It had rust repairs & 2-pack black paint (original colour is Polo Red). By any measure the body is excellent.

The engine was rebuilt in 1989 & it's done approx 10,000km since. Spencer Harrison suggested that has a big bore kit & the strength of the engine would support that. It also has extractors, electronic ignition & a recent freshen up of all ancillaries by Shaun Cairns....it easily goes as hard as a standard 911 of similar vintage.

In Sydney it was serviced by Scuderia Veloce Motors & since buying the car it’s been maintained primarily by Shaun Cairns. In addition to the engine all maintenance items have been attended plus I’ve fitted a WEVO shifter making the 901 easy to live with & added a set of Phil’s wonderful GTS Classic seats.

I have the original sales brochures, two inches thick of history & $43,000 in receipts, half of which is in the last couple of years.

The car will be sold with a set of original fuchs with Michelin rubber however I am happy to discuss wheel options with potential buyers.

The car has full Vic registration & will be sold with a RWC.

    Price - $58,000 ONO

While I would like to sell this is not a forced sale so please no low ball offers….I’m happy to negotiate with genuine buyers but will keep the car if interest is not sufficient. The car is currently in lock up however will be moved to Shauns Cairns workshop in Hallam, Victoria next week for anyone who would like to view it.

I can be contacted via the forum or at mattread993@hotmail.com

    Kind Regards

Damn that is tempting. With the current value of Australian delivered original cars tracking higher and higher I start to have silly ideas about getting my car closer to stock and back to numbers matching. Now this little black beauty would be the perfect place to store the 3 litre.

        Hi Matt,

I would be interested in the number plates if that's an option.

Great car Matt. Good luck with the sale, shouldn't be too hard to find a new home for it.

Dirk, I'm worried about your sleeping habits.

It's like Dirk can read my mind....ha ha....if I could have got my hands on a 3.0 I would have put it in for a few months just for sport. The little rocket would be a serious sleeper.

              Cheers
