    WTB steering upper bearing

    Hi All,

I need to buy the early upper steering bearing (914.347.711.00). Just thought I would check the locals to see if anyone has a good one they want to sell before I pay the huge $$$ for a new one from the US. Let me know. Thanks.

Be sure it's what you need...

will this steering tube work in a 1973 LWB car? it is the 1984 version with a p/n of 911 347 073 03 (not sure if they were used 1974-89) or how long but I figure they would be easier to find than the 00 LWB version and maybe I could switch over to the easier to replace bearings) 334098

Hopefully this helps to make it a $20 job

Robin, I have checked the only bearing I have is one that seems for the lower shaft 6003.2ZR (FAG). I was going to ask you for a photograph, but if you are sure that the bearing is not there at all?

                That is very unusual.

I had similar problems discussed in an earlier thread I started on ESR: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...light=Steering
