    300SL Gullwing Wanted

...our 901 crew's tentacles stretch far and wide in the car world...

If anyone can put me in touch with the owner of or knows of a good 300SL I'd be interested to hear from you.

My father is now specialising in vintage Benz's, after nearly 50 years into Mercedes-Benz's with the majority of that owning our local dealership BEA Motors.

A client of ours is after a 300SL Gullwing and I thought I'd put it out there if anyone knew of one locally.....

    Think if us if you're selling a 600, Pagoda, 230/280SL, 190SL, any Benz coupe, W124 Cabriolet and 300SEL 6.3's and 6.9's too.

    Cheers

    Stewart.

That car Merv is a BEA Motors Adelaide delivery when new; one of the few original Aussie 300SL's ....a wealthy pastoralist ordered it and it spent much of its life here in SA, lastly in the hands of the late Ian Cocks, the F1 GP chairman. I had rides in that car as a youngster. It also featured in the Scott Hicks 930 movie Freedom, on the floor of the old BEA Benz showroom.
