77 based RS replica for sale in Sydney

Can the Targa and Track gurus spell out where this falls as far as historic eligibilty, looks very nice, guards are all steel, not much other info.

why dont we value non p car based rs replicas as highly as say the poms, are we just spoilt having up till recently a decent supply of reasonably priced cars?

Craig, as far as Group S is concerned you need to run as the car is per its chassis number... so I believe anyways. So it would have to have a 2.7 with injection etc, big bumpers. But as for a track car for club days and regularity = NO PROBLEM!

no go for group s historics but would be fine for tarmac rallies (targa tas, classic adelaide etc). should also be fine for FOSC (festival of sport car) events - sort of historics without the white gloves... and maybe biante series also.

Craig, I too looked at this car and depending upon what you plan to do, this is a way better proposition than that other pice of junk chassis being sold on ebay.

Sure its been backdated but the guards, hood, engine lid all look OK. If its got a 2.7 engine on webers and a 915 (they say with LSD) tehn the parts are just about worth the asking price. And it apprently all runs.

You just need ot check on if it can be registered. maybe it was imported without a permit and cant be registered ? I'd check all this out first, but you could always put it on club plates if its mainly for competition.
