Hi Marcus
Maybe we could think of a group buy or something. While I have a nice Becker radio fitted to my car I have never had a centre speaker fitted and as such , not that I really want to, have never heard a single sound out of the radio.
Marcus. Have a look at woody's customs in the USA. I don't have a link with me but they do a 2 speaker custom fitting in the shape of the single one for in the dash. It just slots in and you can do as mono or stereo depending on how you wire it rather than just mono with the old ones. I have had one for years and it is great. I think it is 2 4 inch speakers in mine.

Neville - I'm going to order this tomorrow morning - let me know if you want one too - and we can split the post - if you;re happy to drive up from the peninsula (I'm in Malvern) -link below
Hi Marcus
The link shows 1 left at $95 US. The Lakewell one is 120 pound. I am in for one from Woodys if they have 2 and can supply one each. Happy to share postage from the US. Let me know and send PM with bank details for order.
Nev
I purchased the Woody's speaker years ago - works really well, sound is good.

ok dumb question on the central speaker .. the speed nuts supplied are way too short. I ordered some longer ones online - however they don't clear the lip around the central speaker opening (they need to have a larger gap between the two sides) .. and they break if you try to open them up wider... hopefully that makes sense ... where do get the right speed nuts to install a central speaker? or do you just glue it in as no one can see it?? Using conventional nuts would require removing the whole wiper assembly .... which seems way too hard to just instal a speaker !
thanks in advance to the wisdom on this forum

if you have an original and original dash the threaded poles on the grille push into a plastic receiver that pushes into the dash itself the dash has 4 holes in the vinyl/foam to take the plastic receivers.
you can buy what you need at repco etc.
