Up for sale is my 1973 factory RHD 911T Targa.
Built 23rd feb 1973.
911T RHD UK delivered Targa
Matching number, 5 speed manual
Original Colour (Metallic Gemini Blue)
Original date matched Fuchs wheels
Owners manual
Thick receipt folder dating back to early 90’s
Glass out re-spray in the 90’s (photos of the work)
1 of 176 RHD Targa’s in the world (thanks Hugh!)
BAD POINTS;
No tool kit
No service book or history prior to the early 90’s
Minor oil weeps (typical of early 911)
When it was restored the sills were replaced and you can see the join (I might just be a little fussy?)
Small rust bubble on driver’s door. This is the only rust I can find, had the car on my hoist many times and I actually think it’s a good sign that the resto in the 90’s was done properly.
GOOD POINTS;
COA from Porsche confirming matching number
Full engine rebuild to 911E specs by Phil Hearne, auto coupe. (still retaining ‘T’ spec webbers)
Near new stainless Dansk exhaust
Paint is great
Perfect driver with nothing to spend
Going by the history, its done approx. 20 000 miles since 1993
Rocker covers have just been re-machined and new gaskets fitted, along with valve adjustment.
Webbers have just been re-sealed and some old fuel lines replaced.
Lots of work has been carried out by auto coupe since the 90’s
Period looking Dunlops with 90% tread
Recent service
It really is an awesome car and i'm still in two minds about selling, but unfortunately i cant keep them all and with so many P-cars on my wish list, this one has to make way for the next.
Asking SOLD
Looking to purchase a MK1 996 GT3 CS or 968 CS, so anyone interested in a trade of some sort let me know
PM or call and I will email a heap more photos
