    WTB: Bonnet / Hood

Looking for a decent bonnet / hood for a '66. Anyone got one lying around? Mine may be repairable, and as much as I love that its original to the car, it might be more economical to buy another one.

How badly is it damaged? Nothing like the original ...

I agree, especially when the car is so original, but it's damaged around the double skin part, so the damage is very difficult to access from the underside. It is potentially repairable, but the cost might go well beyond a replacement panel so I'm weighing up my options.

Early hoods are almost impossible to find.
you may get lucky with a 68-73 version and obviously Porsche Classic and Dansk make repros of the 68-73 types.

Jason at Chequered Flag restos is currently repairing my engine lid and has actually separated the skin from the underside frame to get into the areas where rust forms, but is usually impossible to get to. so its possible to unpick the welds and separate and repair the parts if you want to use original panels.
          But there is a cost.....
