    FS 1972 911 E Targa Project LHD non matching number $62,500

    ok,

    so i've done the Gumtree thing with the plan of selling the tub and all the project bits separately, but that got me nowhere but griefsville ...

    please grab a beer or coffee and read the whole advert as there is a lot to take in

    9112210394 is a 1972 911 E Targa one 860 cars produced.
    Car was delivered to Germany at some stage exported to Japan and then imported in to Australia 2004.
    Car has import approval dated 27th October 2004
    Porsche CoA dated 28.12.15 with project.

    Original colour Light Yellow/ 62
    Chassis Number 9112210394
    Engine Number 6220844
    With the car is block number 911/52 6220961 correct type 116 from matching.

    Chassis/ Tub
    Car is disassembled. Remains in original LHD configuration.
    Initial steel work undertaken by Rebel Restoration in West Gosford NSW to remove sills and rear ¼’s to facilitate media blasting.
    Tub and all hanging panels media blasted by East Coast Master Blaster.

    Tub and all hanging panels with the project.
    All unique ’72 parts with car- oil door, mechanism and oil tank.
    All unique targa parts with car- targa hoop, door ¼ windows etc
    LHS and RHS rear ¼ cuts included with project.
    Purchaser has choice of best 2 of 4 front fenders.
    Purchaser has choice of original doors requiring repair or 1 x perfect LHS post ’74 door and 1 x perfect pre ’73 RHS door.

    Tub and hanging panels are in outstanding condition with only very minor rust requiring rectification.

    Engine
    Engine number 6220961 911/52 requires line boring but all other machining work complete.
    MFI complete rebuilt 2.4 T/E system to S spec. pump and injectors rebuilt by MFI Werks Mark Jung, Tb’s and stacks rebuilt by Supertec Henry Schmidt.
    2.4 T/E MFI heads machined to match TB’s.
    NEW 2.4 E MAHLE pistons and Cylinders
    NEW DC40 cams
    NEW MFI gasket set
    NEW carrera chain tensioner kit
    NEW SSI heat exchangers
    NEW ULTIMATE engine sound pad by Appbiz
    Original engine tin media blasted and powder coated.
    2.4 T/E crank and rods of unknown condition.
    Green MFI engine shroud in good condition.

    Gearbox
    Non original 5 speed 915 box condition unknown- from 2.4 T/E.

    Original wiring loom
    NOS gauge set fuel, oil, clock and E tachometer all dated 3/72
    Refurbished speedometer dated 12/71
    Refurbished H4 RHD headlights x 2
    Refurbished rear indicator housings x 2
    Refurbished front indicator housing x 1
    Refurbished heater control panel
    Refurbished dash switch gear
    NEW ignition switch

    Targa Roof
    Complete restored targa roof. Restoration completed by Dan Petchel at Cars Inc. NJ
    Correct front targa seal from Cars Inc also with package.

    Interior Trim
    NEW Reproduction S style seats with hounds-tooth insert by BF Torino
    NEW reproduction door pockets by Lakewell
    Recovered original LHD dash restored by Dashboard Doctor.
    Recovered original knee pads restored by Dashboard Doctor
    Recovered original ash tray roll restored by Dashboard Doctor
    Original ¼ trim- VGC
    Original rear parcel shelf- VGC
    Original door caps- VGC
    Original targa hoop interior trim- poor condition
    Original rear seat bases and backs- VGC
    Reproduction (Carpoint) rear parcel shelf

    Exterior Trim
    NOS body to rear window anodised alloy trim.
    Original front and rear bumper trim- requires refurbishment.
    Reproduction (Stoddard) rear bumper deco trim.
    Reproduction (Porsche) side deco trim, front and rear bumper end caps, front windscreen trim.
    Reproduction (Auto Foreign) horn grilles.

    Rubber seals
    With the project is what I believe to be a complete set of rubber seals for the car. Seals are either Porsche, International Mercantile or the best available Cars Inc NJ for example.

    Underpinnings
    Car was a roller at purchase so project is complete with front and rear suspension, brakes, torsion bars etc all supplied as cores for refurbishment.

    Glass
    Original rear glass, spare rear glass, original door glass, NO windscreen

    Wheels and tires
    NO wheels and tires with project.

    Even with no wheels and tires, sounds like you got way too many tire-kickers anyway ?
