I am seeking an airbox for a 1972 T Vergasser (Zenith carbied) per the attached pic.

Those smarter than I will be able to confirm but I believe it is just a plastic airbox the same as other years...

Can anyone let me know the rhyme or reason for why some cars had metal, and others had plastic air boxes? I've seen both types on carbureted 71Ts.

Plastic airboxes were introduced I think in '72, part of that years lightening / weight redistribution. I think prior to '72 were metal.
