    Weber Lever Arm

    Hi Guys
If anyone has a right hand Weber lever arm (as pictured) surplus please let me know. Doesn't need to be pretty!

    Thanks for looking.

    Cheers
    Tom

Just make one mate. A man of your skills could do it easily. I made one a while ago for the Kombi. Someone must of dropped the carb and bent it. Anyway it snapped on the highway as it was work hardened when it was straightened and it was brittle. I had to wind up that banks idle and then matched the revs all the way home. Actually worked well at about 85, below that was not so well.

          Classic!
I am afraid you give me too much credit Jim. I'd probably make it half a mm off and always wonder if I had sync issues.

I bought some rare Stromberg linkages for my XU1 from Bob at Chatsworth Motor Spares at Chesterfield in the UK, though he deals in all types of carbies. He was extremely helpful. I think he has retired now though, but someone else may have taken over. The last number I had was +44 1246 278633 It still appears on Google search.

I also bought some rare parts from these blokes

May be a long shot if you have no joy at home.

Just in case anyone is in a similar position in the future... I emailed everyone who came up on a weber parts search (and the guys above) and went to a few carb shops but I either got no reply, they couldn't supply the arm or could only supply a generic reproduction which look awful!

Paul Abbott to the rescue!!! He is reproducing his own via laser cutter... performanceorientated.com

That’s a pity about pierce, they’ve been good in the past.

                        glad you got it sorted.
