Alex, Thanks, I had a look at evilbay, couldn't see any. Lots of cheapies for riceburners.
As far as needing one goes, I'm putting in fixed seats and I think I'm going to need the space to get out of the car. I'll know more in the next few days when I have a car fitting.
As for what Mr Nittis was doing. Strictly no comment, the paddock is far too small. I don't think it was the fault of the mechanism as they have a double lock, but I'm yet to hear more ??Comment

We have one of these fitted to ST replica and it looks to be very well made.
I would be surprised if Sparco released a product that was susceptible to a failure and was not thoroughly tested. To date it has worked perfectly and has a very positive fit.
If anyone knows if the Nittis car had one fitted and it failed I would really like to know.
