    73 Targa Sporto at CTS

Went to CTS in Nth Sydney for a look to pass the time and noticed a fully restored 73 Aust delivered Targa 2.4 MFI Sporto for $250k. Still a bargain compared to $700 k Ferrari from the same era.

Got to love a sepia car - they look wonderful.
However, for that money it’ would want to have a correct LWB speedo in it.
    Just sayin’...

I didn’t see a brown 75 Turbo. There was a blue 964 Turbo. I think the asking price was about 400k. Can’’t recall with any accuracy.

I wish them well with the sale.... that's a lot of car for the money. The work has been done by respected and knowledgeable vendors.

That's a rare car - original RHD, Australian delivered.

Its really a buy now and enjoy immediately proposition.

Agreed Justin - all those things pointed out are just details, and pretty easily fixed.
Overall it's a great car by the look of it.

One of Six Australian delivered 930 Turbos delivered in 1975, Copper Brown Metallic, Tan Leather, 4 speed manual, history, books...

This looks like an intersting car to me colour wise plus a no sunroof car, not many 75my aus del 930 cars left in Australia.
I remember sitting in a similar 964 turbo over here years back, was having a checkover for the widow in readiness forsale.Low km car talk at the time was mid 80k$, It went to the local porsche dealer to sell and ended up in Melbourne I think.

The 930 Turbo started at $450K which I think is a bit of an ask for a 200,000 kms car, but as you say not many built and not a lot of surivors.

Agreed - we should focus more on the overall package - than the colour of badges, a speedo, carpet, an incorrect widget!! Off my soapbox for now!

I dont think the kms matter so much anymore when your looking at cars (40+ yrs old) that aren't readily available and forsale when you all of a sudden decide I'd like one of these now. Will we be looking back at this in the future and saying, "that was cheap."

                            Looks like a nice car.

I notice on the brake lever the throttle and heater controls are painted black. Does anybody know when they changed from silver/chrome to black? I am in the middle of restoring mine and would love to know what's correct for a March 71 car.

                            Thanks,
                            Derek

70/71 models have chrome throttle and heater levers.
