    1971 2.2T for sale

    Sold

I’m selling my 1971 2.2 T. It is an original RHD. Was delivered in UK but with a temporary import registration number so may have been exported right away- I don’t know. It is confirmed by Porsche Australia to be matching numbers. I’ve owned it for about 10 years having purchased it from a forum member. I would describe it as a driver quality car. I don’t think it’s ever been restored. It does show its age in places as you would expect. I’m not an anorak when it comes to Porsche detail so I’m not sure exactly what small bits may or may not have changed over the years. It originally came with the ‘Lux’ package which was I believe 14” wheels. It still has one as the spare. I put the chrome steelies on as I like the early look. It comes with an extra S style front bumper and new S front bumper trim molding (unused) The bumper will need a respray though. I have the chrome/rubber overriders for the rear and some clear lenses front and rear which I used with orange bulbs just for a cleaner look.

I’m aware of the rules. There was a price of course. Too cheap it would appear based on the response.

You were too quick for me Andrew but that means a quick sale for you and when Sean told me the price that had been posted, too cheap was my initial reaction too.

Good luck with whatever is happening with the funds.

Thank you everyone for the interest. The car is now sold. It is bittersweet. I’ve had 10 years of enjoyment from it and it’s never given problems. I know with prices as they are I will never likely own one again. However I am grateful that the market is such that a quick and hassle free sale was possible without having to deal with Carsales and time wasters.

The buyer is an enthusiast so it’s going to a good home.

I’m doing a complete restoration on my 1963 Morris Mini and one of the joys of that project is how cheap and readily available the parts are compared to the Porsche. Oranges and Apples of course but both iconic and lots of fun.
