912"R" FS in the US any takers???

N affiliation - appears kind of well done...any thoughts on the build?

Below is a description from the vendor - Johnny at ACE AUTO SPORTS in the US. Amongst some of his claims it is meant to be part of the RGRUPPE registry?

    1968 912R Lightweight

    Yellow/Black interior

Truely a very well done restoration of a low mileage (currently 44k miles) rust free, no damage early short wheel base 912 coupe. This special Porsche 912 has been built by national award winning Porsche enthusiast & professionals dedicated to quality workmanship using the best available materials while tastefully maintaining the overall design theme from the inspiration of the very rare and unique lightweight 1968 911R, Porsche’s first 911 built to race. Including features such as: front & rear bumper deco delete, rocker panel deco delete, antennae delete, H4 headlamps, fog lamp cover delete, 911R rear lamps (brake & turn signal) & reflectors, black positive Porsche decals (sides & rear deck lid), racing positive Porsche decal on front deck lid, insulation delete for weight savings, reproduction 911R Scheel lightweight racing seats with Auto Pro Racing System 3″ black racing 5 pt safety belts, RS style door panels & lightweight carpet, rear seat delete, radio delete, clock delete, Momo “prototipo” steering wheel, dead pedal, fire extinquisher, lowered and corner balanced with Koni sport shocks, new ball joints and tie rods, disc brakes with dual circuit master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines, rare 1968 15″ X 5 1/2″ deep Fuchs with hearts mounted in front with 15″ X 7″ Fuchs in the rear with a set of Yokohama 205 X 55R tires (wheels finished in RSR frosted style by Al Reed Polishing). The power train (110 HP) was completely rebuilt including big bore kit, solex carbs, SC cams, new crankshaft and pistons, cylinders redone, sport exhaust, 12 volt system, and four speed transmission. This is absolutely a one of a kind very special car, one which is appreciated more when you see and drive it for yourself. It is more fun to drive than you can imagine. Handles like a dream, sounds great and quick enough to give you a thrill. A car you could not nearly replace for only……………………………………………………………………………………………….. $34,500

aside from the fact it is yellow (long story, hate yellow cars) its a cool car. never seen that harness bar setup before.

big dough for a left hook 912 though - no matter how nice it is. a great 2.7RS clone just went on pelican for US$26k.
