    RS Engine - "s u r e i t i s m a t e"

hilarious wording around non disclosure of a supposed RS engine #......

(but then, it could be real, stranger things have happened)

    Cheers

    SC,
ring the vendor, his is a very interesting and plausible story. From the photos its clearly an MFI engine with a red shroud and the gearbox has a cooling system-RS? perhaps a S modified to RS specs? all the gauges, most of the suspension, some hanging panels, would make a very interesting bitsa...

      Hi Craig

I'm not in the market, it's just funny when he gives a silly excuse in not quoting the engine number......

I agreee though, all things being equal it could be a good project, although the rust mentioned sounds scary.

      Cheers

      Stewart.

It's a 'plausible' story on the surface... Be interested to know who his Grandfather was. There's $4k in those wheels.

I may be wrong... I often am but it looks like it has a K jetronic engine, and the tacho is standard 2.7 with a 6 -6.2 redline.

You are right Justin, but they are not discussing the engine in the car but the spare engine that comes with it!!!!

665 is 75 something could be 75 Carrera 2.7 motor, same as RS motor....he talks about alloy rear arms which also points to 75 so maybe!!!!

Definately not an "RS" engine but maybe the 74/75 version.
