    WTB 915 Shift Knob

The backdate car I'm building came with a hideous fast and furious steering wheel and matching gear knob.
The wheel has been swapped for a proto but I'm in need of a 915 gear knob.
Anyone got a spare they would like to part with?

      Hi Paul

Are you after the old skool 915 version or the later all black G series? I've got the later one off an SC. I suspect for your back date you're after the older version?

Car is old school but anything Porsche would be better than the monstrosity there now.

          John,

If Paul doesn't want the all black G series from the SC, I'm interested in it for my silver car.

            Hi Paul,
I fished out the knob, it's just OK, the top is good, but a few dings & scratches. Here's a couple of dodgey snaps, is you can use it it's yours.

upload is taking forever , send me your email!!

Marty, I'll wait for Paul and Jappy to sort things out. If Paul doesn't want it, it's yours.

The only drama is that it's still on the lever (I swapped it all out for a Wevo), and I know they are notoriously hard to get off (small risk of destruction apparently) - might be better off swapping levers with the new owner?

Any pics of the aforementioned knob before I fork out my hard earned?

Wasn't expecting a free ride - happy to pay! What currency, beer, wine, coke, hookers?

                          Camera is flat (on charge)

I dug it out and for the life of me, I cannot get it off the shift lever (which I hear is common). There's a few nicks and mild scuffs which should polish out - I'll endeavour to get the camera to focus on them.

I suspect I might have to just send you the whole lever to either swap or remove the knob...

It's not quite worth a hooker (though as you may have heard, last time I was in Sydney, I was made an offer in the Kings Cross Oporto Classy stuff).

Maybe a beer or two next time I'm in town?

Can you PM me a suitable email address and postal address?

                          Cheers

All good - nice patina, can you get the knob off the stick?
