Ok, I'll bite! I'm a sucker and would put one on my car. Despite reading all the articles that say they do nothing but give a nice growl from on acceleration.

Not sure about you Tim, but John's link took me to a pair of seats - which makes your post quite funny- my seats haven't growled yet!

Just to be clear, are you saying that you gave these actual seats away, or just some that were similar?

In my view its bad karma selling something received for free!

These are the seats. I'll clarify that the person these were given to also passed on the good karma and gave them away. They may well have passed through a few hands since then.

Don't get me wrong, it really doesn't bother me at all - I just wanted to see them in someone's car

John , you gave me these seats ( well a pair that looked just like these ) and after I fitted one into my car and hated it . I nearly fell out of the car on a sharp corner so I gave them away for nothing to a well known Porsche club identity here in Sydney .
When I last heard about them he was using them as lounge seats in his Porsche bar in his garage . I'll email him and ask .If they are the same seats and he does manage to sell them for $200 I'll try and embarrass him into him giving us some beer money .

Ha ha, tell him a bottle of scotch will do it

(I can promise you they are the very same seats)

Looks like there might still some good karma around.

that is just wrong on many levels....
If he doesn't come good with the 'karma' payment we should not buy from his ebay tag every again.

Frankly by the fact he has a digital camera and a nice pool Id say he doesn't need the coin.... (all $200 , less ebay expenses and time)

                    Karma well see...

(john I know you were thinking this!!!)

The truth is (as I and JS found) these seats really aren't worth anything when you consider the cost of having them upholstered to original condition could see you with a nice pair of Phil's seats. That's why I was happy to give them away.

I guess it is a karma thing, I would have liked to see it paid forward. It was no one from this board/club so there's really no foul

"FS Steering wheel and very hard to get Hazard light for a 1969 Porsche" JOKE.

The irony is he'll never sell them and waste his money on ebay fees. That's Karma !
