2nd Hand Bosch Distributor for 2-2.2L

    Hi All,

Need a second hand Bosch Distributor to get my car on the road, to suit 2-2.2L 901.

Would like to find one here in Aus, does any one have any leads?

    Fingers crossed...

      2.2 bosch dizzy

      Thanks Andrew,

Checked it out, hoping for a cheaper option, around 350-400...

Maybe 2.7 dizzy machined down etc at Performance Ignitions?

Any one in Melbs gone down this path that can give me an estimate?

      Cheers

        Hi Chris,
I have a Bosch distributor from a 1973 2.4T if that's of any use to you.
Number: 0231169008. No play in the shaft. Replaced with a 2.4S distributor when the engine was rebuilt to "S" spec. $350 + postage.
Let me know if you're interested (I go to Europe next Wednesday).
        Regards,
        John

          Hi John,
thanks for your response, but I'm told that these type are not suitable.

Chris, I have a turned down 2.7 with an XR700 and re-graphed at Performance Ignitions.

I did the machining using my old Marelli as a "stencil". The XR700 with optical triggered electronic ignition solved nearly all my engine's 'cranky' personality

Performance charged me $150 eight years ago to rebuild and re-graph... JW's dizzy might be a good bet once sent to Performance for a re-graph?
