    1970 911s ???

NO AFFILIATIION - COMMENTS OFFERED JUST MY OPINION

Had a look at this and drove it:

It starts, it drives, it stops. Desperate need for TLC (and much more!). Easy to beat synchro in to second, also every part in gearshift must be worn out - first in there SOMEWHERE! Accelerator pedal attached by a thread, horrible wheel bearing noise, etc etc. Engine doesn't make any horrible noises (just my layperson's opinion). But it does all work after a fashion.

Chassis 9110300412, engine 6300557. Didn't get 'box number. Didin't find ID plate anywhere.

Seller says spoke to PCA, advised delivered in Germany LHD.

"Updated" interior - seats, dash, door cards etc (where do all those original parts go!!!), gauges look original.

No oil cooler or alloy engine lid (all glass engine cover and spoiler with rubber edge).

Brakes are alloy (F&R) but not sure if correct.

16" Fuchs on car (look pretty darn tidy), flat six as spare.

    Apparently originally white.

Visible rust hole in "floor" (between inner sill and longitudinal) just in front of torque tube on RH side. Doesn't seem particularly rusty, but as we know appearances can be decieiving (and please don't rely on my judgement).

Looks like engine bay is pretty original with MFI etc. Looks like it has had Carrera chain tensioners but I am no expert.

Pretty sure bodywork extensions are steel, seem well done.

No history at all. Told me he had it serviced "by a local mechanic".

    Buyer keen to sell.

    Cheers

    Mitchell

It belongs to a panel shop owner who doesn't appear to know about Porsches.

Interesting comment about the date on the pics. The guy claims he only bought it 12 months ago from Melb but his shop ute is in the background. Turns out it is just down the road from work so I had a quick look this afternoon on the way home. Looks a bit tired and found some rust in the lower LH A pillar.

Curious about the RHD conversion, noticed some little air vents at the sides of the dash. Are these from a later car?
