    WTD - Rear Decklid

    Hi Guys

I began looking at my rear decklid tonight and have found significant rust in the inner frame on the bottom edge (another poor PO repair). It's a pity as it's straight and clean everywhere else. A good metal worker could fix it easily, but I just have too much to do with the rest of my car...

So..., I have a pretty much perfect glass ducktail to swap if anyone has a standard decklid they'd part with. I can probably use a later lid also (they're slightly different from the early version) if you have one.

I'll be doing the big family xmas drive through NSW and Vic over December, so pick-up/delivery is possible.

As a last resort I'll buy what you have outright

Please give me a shout if you think you can help

I can fit my new alloy one I guess and sell the 69 one on there, will inspect for rust etc I know it has 2 ton of paint on it don't think its hiding any nasties though.

Bahia Red lid goes with Tangerine doesn't it???

Do the later engine lids (post 69) match if so up to what year I would be interested to know ?

Clyde, I understand the profile of the lid remains the same (and thus the fit), but the differences are in the inner frame and particularly the lack of cut-outs for the number plate lights.

There is also one on ebay for $100 with too many holes http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Porsche-911-S...item19c0a66d51 but it ends shortly. If you dont mind fixing a few holes i have one in similar shape (too many holes, but sound structure) that you can have for free, plus postage from Adelaide. Happy to send pics.

I held Clydes lid in my scrawny arms on Sunday and it is indeed very light, is the frame on it also aluminium or is it only the skin?
P.S. back to the topic of the thread, the offer of a good free lid doesn't even warrant a response.

Sorry Craig! I've been at work - I can have sneak look at the board, but having admonished one of my crew for too much internet time I'm waiting until I get home to respond to most things

I'm very keen But just how many holes?
