7R's and deep 6's for sale

The sale of my 69s and the 2 x 72 projects I have going, both of which will both require larger wheels than these means these wheels I bought are no longer required.

2 genuine 7R rims with hearts
2 genuine deep 6 rims with hearts

All rims finished in mathcing RSR style by Harvey Weidman, I bought them from "Jens" a regular poster on Early S. He had Harvey do the work.

I fitted tyres to them but have only done about 10km, rear ones I wrecked (act of stupidity, they are too wide) and fronts are new advans 195 x 55 x 15"

$4950 ONO for rims and tyres are free if you want them.

    Pics tomorrow. They are new.

Offered here first otherwise off to evil bay and early s/pelican forums.

        Pics as promised.

One of each wheel one of the back one one wheel and one of the only mark on any wheel about a 1/4' scratch which I didn't know I had until I went to take these pics.

and the last one showing where the deep 6 number is removed by the factory for the 7R wheels. I thought this was a crock when I first saw it but thats what they did as they used deep 6 wheels to make the 7R wheels.

          deep 6's are dated 10/68 I believe and the 7R's early 1970 its either 3/70 or 5/70

                        Hi Clyde,

Did Jens take any photographs of the original 'inked' fuchs serial number on the 7R rims before they were refurbished by Harvey?

Not that I have ever seen but I did ask Harvey about them before I bought them and he confirmed they were real. The scratching off of the deep 6 part number is hard to copy/replicate.

I'll see if I can find the thread on early S that talks about all that.

Harvey did confirm though, which Jens hadn't, that he a did a minor repair on one wheel around the centre cap area and thats why they are finished in RSR syle as with straight anodising the repair area still shows...well thats what Harvey told me anyway.

Yup the original 6" fuchs serial numbers were ground off then the new numbers for the 7R rims were 'inked' onto the wheel - not a very robust solution.
