    Ignition and loom

This is an ignition and loom set.

I believe this is suitable for a 1971 and possible other early 911s.

It depends I believe on the shape of the loom connector which you can easily compare with what you already have.

You could also wire it in with the loom that comes with this.

Note that the steering wheel lock part remains intact - this is sometimes ground off.

I have not fitted this and whilst it appears functional, and I was told it was at the time of purchase, I cannot guarantee this.

    Key included.

    Price: $100 obo + $10 postage

Hello, I am a new member with a 71T targa. I recently had the car stolen and it was dumped with a broken ignition.

Do you still have the ignition lock or any suggestions where i can locate one?

Mario, no immobiliser fitted to your car ??

Thought most insurance companies mandated you have one or no cover.

I actually met Mario last night at AV's talk and he did have an immobiliser fitted as the car was stolen using a flat top truck. They broke the steering lock but were unable to start the car and he did get it back eventually.

Mario advised the car was a green targa he bought at a Shannons auction a while back and he has been surprised by its handling considering the bargain price he paid for it. I remember looking at the auction results and thinking it was sold off quite cheaply.

We hope to see Mario at a run some time soon.

After AV's talk of the Channel swim, I thought a Gippsland swim is probably well over due.
