Glad I got a ride in it Cam

Lurkers, this is a car that has had all the hard work done. You won't build a similar car for the money.

A great car and its a great price, funny though, it is the $35K cars that need a complete rebuild that attract the attention. I have seen this in the flesh and it is a quality car.

I agree that the guys who end up buying the $35K cars end up spending more despite us all telling them to listen to the advice we give on this forum.

Even that $32K SWB 911 that got snapped up on carsales recently will need plenty spent on it to get it up to scratch and running safe and reliable. If you dont believe us, dive in and get a "project" car and start a spreadsheet.

Not trying to put anyone off but these are not cheap cars to rebuild and get to the stage that Cam has arrived at. As he says, buy a car that someone else has done all the hard work and spent the moeny on and start driving immediately.

If your budget doesnt stretch to the asking price, you really need to think long and hard about what you are getting into.

Early 911's are great cars, but fixing them and getting them back to top condition is only getting more and more expensive as parts become hard to find, or Porsche Classic resurrects them and triples the original price......

Whatever toy is next it will have air con!

I am hoping my car goes to a member here though, who can appreciate what has gone into it.

Still here! The transmission has just had a refresh, not much needed to be done but now has 1st - reverse slider and new gear set including a 904 main shaft that allows 2nd to be changed out easily. New ratio's are AEKQV.
Pulls like a freakin' steam train
