Is the difference significant? I can see a small scalloping for the driver positioning, but it's invisible unless you're lying underneath...

Yes thats right. But it also doesnt sit as snug up against the dash as you have to spin it 180 degrees.....

Weird. Mine will fit fine - but will have to move two studs. It will be mounted exactly as though it were in LHD car, no need to flip...
