I think it's had a repair at some stage of its life. The striker is brand new. The latch 'lets go' when you go over a large bump. Very annoying.

Check the striker plate to ensure the plastic components are still there. If they are, there's still a fair amount of adjustability in the striker plate position to ensure the door cam bites.

Roland, post a couple of photos, I can't see how your cam has worn out, as John stated there is a fair bit of adjustment in these doors.

I've been putting my doors back together after a full resto, playing around with shims and the striker plates, and the door mechanism itself, and have been supprised just how much movement for adjustment.
