901 Shift Knob Wanted

I've upgraded my 901 shifter to a 915 type with a Seine Systems shift kit but cant get the old shift knob off the old shifter.

Does anyone have a spare 901 pattern knob they want to get rid of?

Ooh Cameron...you're venturing into rocking horse doodoo land. These babies are tough to find; maybe get the word out on the Early S Registry board in the States and also ask our board sponsor aPorschaPart if they may have one...have your piggy bank handy.

Out of interest reproduction 901 gear knobs are available.

I just bought one off ebay from a guy in the UK (at great expense) :shock:

The final note in this sad tale is that in trying to install the lovely looking new knob with the factory crush washer, it split into several pieces....

Very soft plastic not like the original......Got in touch with the seller and he sent me a new one which is a vast improvement. He said that he had a funny batch, the new one seems much better. Good guy to deal with.
