and one with a lid on it
This Tourist Delivered 911 2.4E was purchased through Hamiltons Porsche in Victoria, built to Australian Specification, picked up from the Factory in Stuttgart, then spent the next couple of years touring around Europe. It was then brought home to spend a life of quiet retirement with its still Original Owner. In 2009 the car underwent a complete restoration with marque specialist Kane Hearn at Auto Coupe, taking approximately three years. It was repainted in its Factory Tangerine Orange, and every single part in the car was either replaced or rebuilt. There are receipts available with the car showing in excess of $140k has been spent. Being a 1972 Model Year car,it has the engines Dry Sump Oil Tank within the wheelbase, with the Filler Door in the right rear quarter panel. This feature, only available in 1972,is sought after by Porsche Afficionados and Collectors alike.
There is simply too much to mention regarding the work done to this car and its condition. The photos do not do it justice,it is like Brand New. If you are looking for a 901-Series Steel-Bumper car, this would have to be the best available.
$149,950.00

Looked like you had an interest in selling the car Craig until I realised you had cut and pasted from the Duttons site
Also missing its hot air intake box and connecting rubber snorkel
Car has been for sale for ages, pity it doesn't have the S spec trims like most Aussie delivery cars did.Last edited by Terminator; 10-07-12, 04:56 PM.Clyde Boyer

I saw that 72 E at the Healy factory a while ago and thought for the sort of money they were asking one would fix the big split in the dash cover from the speaker grill cover ?
I asked the question and got a " if it was fixed/restored it would not be original " answer ?
But the rest of the car had been restored .
Cheers Doug

clyde,
yes sorry couldnt get the link to work so cut and paste the ad.
i did have a look at the car on saturday and thought it was a very nicely 'restored' car, in general the panel fit was outstandining but around oil tank filler gap seemed a little generous, why would you go to all that trouble and not repair the dash?
thats dirt on the sillCraig

Dash repair is a must, especially as its not hard to do.
I would expect this car to still be for sale in several years, I don't the price is even close, mind you I hope I'm wrong (read, Aus delivered "72E to be up for sale soon)

No crying in the Weeties, certainly not in the position to be able to shell out the required funds for the extensive restoration she underwent at Mark's. Hope it goes to a great new home!
