    FS- 2.7 7R engine

Up for sale is the engine that was in my 70S.

    It is a 77 911S 7R motor (confirmed by PCM) on 40 Weber IDA's.

Not much is known of the engine. It had a rebuild in 2006 (i have a receipt but no detail) and was driven until 2009 on the road. In 2009 the car was purchased for a resto and has gone through two owners before me and rarely been on the road.

Car was running when I bought it and the engine ran well but the carbs needed a tune up.

Would make a great basis for a hotrod or 2.7RS build.

    Engine No 6372188

Hard to value this engine so here goes $7k obo. (happy to be proven wrong!)

includes all tinware Ansa style exhaust and is complete (as dropped out of the car) ready to drop in.
Rear main seal would need replacing as it is weeping.

Email for photos as they are too large to drop into the forum.

    Thanks

Tim, does the receipt indicate a change of pistons during the rebuild? Might be worth getting a scope into the spark plug port to see if there's something nicer in there? I have a compression tester you can borrow too.

This is an identical engine to what I started with to build my RS spec engine. I spent about $8k on top of the core purchase price AND used the webers from the original engine, so $7k is likely a great price for a reasonably fresh 2.7 on webers.
