Restored genuine 901 hood badge

It is a shame the lines have been painted red as the appeal of original 901 badges is that the lines are orange...

As you can see from the unrestored badges they were originally quite red, the orange comes with age and sun exposure.

Horizontal bands are less red viewed on different comp. who did the resto?

Though had thought pre 73 were a distinct 'orange' hue?
