very interesting story. can't help agree with Hugh, except that a decent lawyer should have been able to negate most of the risk of litigation... for a fee of course!

Pretending I had the necessary coin; I think the car is still worth what a perfect E should be worth. However, I think the VP# will unfortunately knock a few thousand off it. I hope I'm wrong.

If anyone is running a book, I say $105-110k...

Are you sure it hasn't already been sold?

Different car I believe I thought same thing when I saw Shanes post in another thread unless they have 2 white 2.2S cars there currently

Why would Duttons get CTS to sell a car for them??

I am with John a touch over $100k

Definitely a different car. The one at CTS is #524, the one at Duttons is #391.

From what I've seen, #524 is probably the best 70-71S in Australia. Will be fascinating to see what price CTS put on it . . . would have to be edging close to $200k based on the $175k price tag that eCurie/Bowdens just had on #233 (the red 71S).

Makes me glad I just have a T...

The pressure on S owners to 'leave the damn thing alone and don't touch' must be extraordinary

Trick is to buy one that's still a long way away from being a concours car!!

If any of the owners need some help I know a litigation lawyer that could help them. Free of charge. I suggest a PM...

For what it's worth, I don't see Porsche AG as the legal culprit it's an Australian entity that sold and serviced and warranted the car.

The directors of that entity are responsible not the now legal owners of the shares in that company.....
