Just what im looking for but it looks like it will be full of rust as the photo of the right hand side door hinge area looks bad . My 65 had a smaller spot there but all the inner rockers we gone so be prepared to spend lots on rust repairs !

His ad mentions that "the galvanised body shows under some of the paint chips".
I didnt think Porsche galvanised the lower parts of the body until the early 70's ?

More like the grey undercoat is showing thru. I agree with Doug that the rust evident in the lower door frame area is mega serious and removing the carpets will probably expose a horror show in the floor area.

Factor in a lot of $$$$ for rust repairs on this one.

Still I am sure someone will think its a bargain and buy it then discover the extent of repairs required.

Ph no indicates its in SA . Any member in SA want to call and inspect it and report back ?

Seems like quite an original car... Definitley not galvanised in '69.

The location of that rust is concerning as it's quite a complicated location with inner and outer sills meeting with the door pillar support and front inner wheel well. All parts are available and repairable, but many hours of work... If it proves to be the only rust then it's a viable repair. Rust is an iceberg...

How could anyone let it get into that state, looks like it has been severely neglected.

Starting with the D-program (Aug 1970) limited zinc coating of exposed underbody parts was introduced. Starting Aug 1975 all models received hot-dip zinc galvanizing over entire bodyshell.
