I had a quick look at the pics and explanation on my phone and the production number looks kocher but the chassis stamping is wrong for a hand full of reasons
Also I have seen rust in most places on these cars but not in that particular location.

I'm impressed by the "forward dating", they even fitted a modern dash complete with later vents.

Wow... would anyone even attempt to restore this back to original specs ??
seems it's been too forward dated, they've even gone to the trouble of removing the prized 72 only external oil fill flap.

Yes Jeff, it just happened to have rust where the chassis number is?? A strange place to get rust, as Chris says. Dodgy at best,wrong motor, too altered to be an economical restorer etc. Better to sell it for what it is, than trying to escalate the cost for "a genuine S" green engine shroud would also say 911E not S
