WTB front and rear bumperettes without rubber

As titled I am after front and rear bumperettes (bumper guards) without rubber for my 1970 911t.

I have considered removing the rubber on my rears, having the holes filled and re-chroming as John has done but would prefer to just bolt a set on.

For the front, I don't have a pair to begin with so cannot go for that option.

Doesn't have to be original, as long as its a good fit and finish.

Stoddards do them for $93.50 each. No rubber.

Any idea about their quality of fit and finish?

That I'm not sure of. Someone might chime in with that answer, I would like to know too, as I would like to get them.

I should say the 93.50 was for rears, unsure of fronts. And that's US dollar too!

            I found this,

How are quality, fit, and finish of the LWB Reproduction Front Bumper Guards being sold by Stoddard, Pelican, Sierra Madre, etc.?

sounds like the repro front bumper guards don't fit too well, id assume the rears would be of similar quality

The tip I got was to stick with original and restore...

Has anyone welded up the holes on the bumperettes, does it show up after
                  re-chroming.

John did it and I think he was super happy

Yes. That's what I did based on good advice that nothing fits like original. Welded up units will come out perfect if done with care. Once the weld is linished flat, the chromer fills any imperfections with copper before nickel and chrome. One of mine has a very slight divot that you have to look for, the other is perfect. He offered to re-do but I'm happy.

Not cheap. I think I paid close to $300 for both, but it's show quality chrome and will last forever with occasional attention.

Ok, looks like ill go down that road for the rears. Do you know if the guys at Pacific Plating could weld them up as well as plate them?
