He has posted that up for sale every fortnight for about the past year, and unfortunately has not adjusted his price to meet the market.
Personally I would like to buy it, as it has most of the spec. that I have planned for an engine for my '65, but it just doesn't look like a good enough deal as opposed to building up what I already have?

The seller is Simon Froude who used to race porsches a lot. has retired to tassie and I assume this motor could be out of his Targa car ??

No distributor with the engine though and assume this would be expensive to replace, plus the induction system depending upon what you put on it.

        Cam/Chris/Phil,

Would an engine of this spec. be streetable on a regular basis?

        Regards

I doubt it, but maybe it can be tuned for such use. Depends what cams he has in it as to how driveable it is at lower revs.

Changing out the RSR cams for something more streetable should make it ok, I'm guessing its pushing the limits on compression as well though.

It would depend on your gearing to some extent, and also to what your driving style is like but I'd suggest its possible :0

If Spencer built the engine, then it's probably going to be very nice - probably worth asking him about it? The buy in price will only be half the expense - there's a lot to bolt on a short engine of that calibre...

RSR cams are not that peaky in a 2.8.

RSR cams in a 2.0 then its a different story......

                    Like John said call Spencer
