I'm also interested but curious about the hole in the bellhousing near the starter mount. Does this look right to others?

Doesn't look like a clutch cable entry. Opinion welcome

That's the TOB sighting hole for ensuring the fork feeds into the TOB channel. If it's going wrong you use a screw-driver to manipulate.

My new flywheel from Chris Seven arrived today. Stunning piece of kit. Light and so shiny! Will fit it this Saturday. Hopefully the clutch fork sits well. Thanks for your advice John.

Anyone else on here bidding on this?

I need a cross member which comes with the box and wouldn't mind a spare box but would be happy to just buy the crossmember if someone wants the box.

I could use the box as mine currently has a 914 gearbox but I don't need a new gearbox in a hurry and shouldn't be spending the money either.

              cheers

I had a go Jeff, at the starting price.
The next 3 bids are buy a single buyer(although bids against yourself dont push the price up) which means to me he is pretty committed?

                  He was.

I have it in my garage storing for a club member to arrange transport.....thats if I can find it when he wants it

Looks to be in great shape but internals unknown. Current owner bought it 15 years ago was told by the seller would fit straight into his 1982 SC...alas it did not.

                    Clyde

That should be EX owner, now belongs to me (well sort of, I need to pay you first I guess)

                    Thanks again for your help.

I'll post a new thread, but anyone driving from Melb to Bris with room to carry a gearbox or getting a car shipped in the foreseeable future? or any other tips on affordable transport?

                    cheers

                        Hi,

E-go or Hunter Express are pretty much unbeatable if your talking commercial shippers. They offer depot to depot service.
if you need a little plastic or wooden pallet and some strapping and shrink wrap let me know and I can either wrap it up or drop off at the presidents residence......

I just went to the depot to pick up 4 wheels with tyres which I had shipped from WA to Adelaide. E Go were excellent, easy to organize and reasonable price.
Saves about 50% if you are happy with depot to depot.

Ditto E-go, but take out insurance on the expensive stuff... And make sure you pack it properly, they take no responsibility.
