Oops, I missed that. Yes too big... you could just build a 2.0 for it though, I think he suggests that the numbers don't match.

He has the original engine case....

            I emailed the owner....
            "Hi Julian,
The engine is currently a 2.2 so I would think you would probably need to change the pistons for Sb. I have run it in regularity and also Targa high country so just have a normal cams log book and not a historic one.

When I bought the car the motor that came with it was pretty sad. I had also bought another complete engine 6210507 that was supposed to have been rebuilt.
Although it looked good it actually needed a complete rebuild and my mechanic said that it was the preferable one to rebuild. That is the one in the car now.

I will need to go through all the invoices and paperwork to list everything however it was a complete rebuild and a few upgrades to S spec. Forged pistons, rebuilt heads, Carrera tensioners, rebuilt dizzy, ignition etc etc. When we had it weighed for rego it was 960kg.

We still have the block that came with the car but it is at the mechanics (Autowerks) so I would need to check the engine number. Let me know if there are any other questions."

            Cheers

            Julian
