    WTB: SWB Front Struts

    Hi All

I've found that I have mis-matched front struts in Grun Hilda - one Boge and one Koni. I need to find a single strut in either Koni or Boge (prefer Koni) so that I can order a pair of matched cartridges.

So can I please bother any of you running SWB cars (who may have subbed out the early stuff for later) to have a look through what you have? I can give you back whichever strut I don't use. I don't think the SWB struts are side specific like the LWB struts, so if you have an orphan one, I can probably use it. Could also consider a pair of Bilsteins if you have them.

    Thanks for looking.

C'mon, have a dig... Maybe someone else has a mismatched pair?

John, I've got a Boge 69 pinch bolt with 3.5" ears and a 71 wedge style koni also with 3.5" if that helps.

I don't know what if any difference there is to SWB struts?

Thanks Tony, but they are significantly different...

I blasted and painted them both, but as you should be able to see, the gland thread is different, and there is a 2mm diameter difference.

Send me a mismatched pair and you'll get a restored matching pair back!

Wow, I didn't know they did the tie rod holder separately like that..... Looks like a fine thread on the gland too, compared to the later style....

Sorry I was unable to help. But I learnt something.
