Yes Clyde's old car. 0197 I think. I have heard that the ask price is $1.4. That would be a very strong price but as Clyde will attest it is a low numbers car in very good original condition and even still has the lightweight horn push on it ( currently stored away at duttons due to its rarity )Hugh Hodges

David Wither's car struggled to get $950k . . . and it was a no expense spared restoration. No doubt the sale was made more difficult than it should have been by the clone that was once floating around California . .. Yank buyers would have been nervous and the car eventually went to England despite being LHD.
But hard to see why this touring would be worth $400k more? Is it RHD?

it is a very different proposition to David's car. As nice as David's car is / was apart from the clone issue, it was restored. This car is original. It has had a partial respray at some stage but when last sold in 2010 had only done a verified 104,000KMS
It had done 78,000 kms with its first German owner up to 1989. It has a full ownership history (apart from the actual owner(s) when it was in Japan after Josh Sadler from Autofarm in the UK sold it to there in the early 90's) and these words below from when it was for sale in 2005 probably best describe why it is probably one of the best ORIGINAL "no stories" RS in the world at a time when there are an increasing number of fakes, let alone "story cars". and they are only original once
"Options on the cardex include a limited slip differential, sport seats left & right with headrests, retractable seatbelts and retractable manual antenna.
This is an extremely original, unmolested example that is all matching #'s All the correct bits & pieces are there: aluminum framed ducktail, plastic tank, 019 mfi pump, 380 mm wheel, correct date stamped 6 & 7 inch Fuchs, original high profile Fulda tires, original door seals, original carpets, original headliner, original radio, fully functional original LSD, etc. etc. Perfect original door panels, perfect pockets, etc.
While I don't think any early car is completely rust free, this one is as rust free as any early 911 that I have ever seen. The case is dead nuts dry with no leaks whatsoever. In fact, the tranny # on the bottom of the transmission is perfectly legible and looks like it has NEVER kissed the concrete. Find another # like that on the bottom of a 911 tranny! Likewise the ribs on the bottom of the plastic tank are like new."
