    WTB - 14" x 5.5" Fuchs

Met a chap at Fed Square on Sunday who has a '71 T tucked away in his garage - where it's been for the past 7 years. Not sure on the details of the car but he plans to get it back on the road soon. He asked if I could source him a 14" wheel.
I guess this request is more for Vic members but if unsuccessful locally I may widen the search to interstate members.
If you have one for sale please pm me with condition and price of wheel and your contact details and I'll arrange for you to get together with buyer

    Thanks

PS I gave him a card and suggested he join the club - you can lead a horse to water but................................

I have one, tucked away at my folks place.
I'd have to find it and check out the condition before I put a price on it..

      14"? I thought that even the 65's have a 15" wheel?

Merv, the 14" were an option and were called the "comfort pack" as Cam suggested - allows for higher profile tyres.
My 71T was delivered with 14" wheels and still has them - I think they look nicer than the 15" - especially with 185/70R14 tyres.

Thanks for the responses fellas - I'll pm the buyers details to y'all, however, Toby has a number of wheels with various date stamps and is willing to offer an appropriate one to him. I suggest that the deal should be: A wheel in exchange for joining the club - then he wouldn't need a middle man to do his bargaining.

I've contacted the "buyer", Hugh, and he's very appreciative of the offers to date and is expecting your calls - he even suggested it'd be a good idea if he joined up!

Interesting about the 14" rims Peter. Larger profile tyres can look very good on older cars. Mine, on its Kardex was supplied with 165 15". I have still the 15's, but 185 XWX's

Looks great Peter. I love the 'balloon' look tyres on older cars. The new low profiles just don't cut it.
