    '65 3 Gauge Painted Dash 912

    Hi All,

Looking at moving one of my painted dash 912's on. I have removed the gumtree ad I recently had as I was sick of the "know it alls and low ball offers", but I should have known that would happen from gumtree (I've learnt my lesson LOL). Hence why I'll put an ad up on the forum where people actually understand and appreciate these little gems.

Ok, The car needs some work but has good bones. Can be very easily registered and driving (minimal works required) or restore to original with a bit more effort and dollars.

As you all know, this is the earliest incarnation of the 912, being a 'painted dash' (this one, in the first 1500 built from the Karmann factory). It was originally imported by none other than Brumos according to the original books (yes it has LOL), and build date (20th July 1965) in the books is confirmed by the certificate of authenticity.

    - NUMBERS MATCHING (Gearbox and engine!)
    - RUNNING & DRIVING & STOPPING
    - 5 SPEED BOX
    - COMPLETE

From what I can see, the rust is primarily in the floors and front pan (as usual) and I have replacement sheet metal to go with the car. The car's original colour was Champagne Yellow as per COA. The interior is still original Fawn leather. Knock-off polished fuchs will come with the car or a set of steel rims (not date matched)?

Obviously, its best to veiw the car in person (in Port Melbourne) and I'd be happy to show any interested and serious buyers.

    $45K

Looks a good car. Would be snapped in the U.S. I suspect. Advertised on ESR?

          Cheers Guys,
Yeah maybe a little cheap but just looking to recoupe costs, not looking to retire.
Hope it goes to an enthusiast who will enjoy and not resale for more???

If you still have it next time I'm in Melbourne Roni, I will definitely book in for a look at it.

                      Cheers Merv,

To be honest I'm not actively selling it (not advertised anywhere), but wouldn't mind the room lol.
I'd rather it went to an enthusiast on here and to stay in Oz. The more 901's here the better lol.

If anyone if wanting one, at least there's one here :-)

                      Cheers

                        Merv - you're after a project aren't you?
