    Top valve covers 2.0L

My top valve covers are the original magnesium ones. Even with the new gaskets Don fitted they tend to weep a little. Bottom ones are later Carrera type.

Anyone got some spare ally top covers they would like to sell?

Why not just face them Merv?

I believe that Don did that already Chris. They always warp, I gather. He did not use the silicone gaskets either. Maybe that would have cured the problem.

I thought I would see if there are any ally ones around. Not sure if they are even available.

I understand the need for Turbo style lower covers, but have not had trouble with uppers, once they have been refaced.

These have been flattened twice now and flex easily. Time for some alloy ones, just not sure where to find them.

Thanks Tony. Yes I saw those and was a bit surprised by the cost. Also wasn't sure on eBay item description.

Sorry Merv you're correct I zoomed in on the eBay ones, and they are not 930's

No worries Tony. Are 901.105.115.02 and 901.105.115.03 the same? Latter part is on Pelican, etc .. and seems to have replaced the original 02.

                I assume that the 901.105.115.02 will fit a 2.0L.

No Ben. I got a set from Tom on this Forum, locally.

Thanks Tom! Much straighter. My old mag ones had been flattened so often that the edges had become thinned and bent more easily then ever when tightened. They also get closer to the rockers that way ...
