Good on you Mitchell for being straight to the point mate.
The cars past seems to be as colourful as its current colour scheme.

Mitchell you present an honest, detailed appraisal with nothing hidden here. Almost too critical. It looks a decent car that in regular circumstances people would be all over at that money and the motor and body options you provide.

Last owner 20 years and has a Q plate in QLD, which means a police check has been done and it is registrable in this State. I had to get one with my Cobra as there was no VIN and the US engine number was unreadable.

So with some due diligence it could be a bargain for someone.

I think it's useful to have the history on the record.

Continuing my research, hopefully have something further to report soon.

Delivered in Hong Kong (which in 71 was kind of part of the U.K., I think a "protectorate").
              Research ongoing

Overseas territory until 1997, all cars sold and registered in Hong Kong were subject to UK regs...i.e UK Market spec

Call Jebsen motors in Hong Kong [Porsche HK dealer] they might have some details on it?

Jebsen no assistance I'm afraid. Still going though.

Do you know why the original chassis number was removed and why it was stamped with a 1975 one?

That is (literally) the $64,000 question...

Les! Yes I still have it, and yes of course you can see it. Are you planning to be Noosa way-ish some time soon?
