    WTB engine lid 1966

    Hi All,

Anyone have a 1966 engine lid they want to sell. The one on my 912 is bent out of shape and I think it might be easier to replace than repair.

All early cars had their hanging panels stamped with the last 3 digits of the chassis number, I would check to see if this is the original engine lid before you abandon it.

Wow good tip - is there a guide anywhere for where to find the stampings? Can you see them with paint on?

The engine lid stamp is usually on the centre bar as pic.
I can take photos of door position.
Front fenders are stamped inside headlight bucket.
