Sportomatic diaphragms - available very soon..

    **Finally Available!****
I know that it has been months since my last post about this. Sorry for my tardiness.

I finally had some very nice moulds made by a local firm. After some initial "tweaking" I am in the process of testing the prototype diaphragms.

Yes Bill, there is a definite Sporto Renn-aisence.

Pretty sure I've given you an opinion of a price point on these - PM me if you want some other contacts to discuss or supply.

      Great work.

Bill I'll be more than happy to take one when avail.

am assuming not, was there any variance in diaphragm between the 3, 4 speed and if so would it matter?

Hi Michel, It appears that there may be a difference between the 3sp and 4sp servos. (I think I mentioned this in one of my other posts... ) If you look at the pic you can see the center servo is much deeper, but contrary to this, the diaphragm is less deep than the others. (The internal piston is the same in all 3.)

Even though the cases are different sizes, I had my white silicone dia running in this larger case successfully. (Using a modified truck servo clamp assembly.)

I installed and took the newly moulded sample diaphragm out for a very nice run yesterday...

Well done Bill. A great product that could well save a gearbox design.

i don't have any need for one of these Bill but what a great job. All done without any self promotion or chest beating.

Its people like you who make running these cars possible when Porsche can't be bothered or price the item way in excess of a reasonable production cost and profit.
