    WTB - Clock lens

Looking for glass (or is it plastic?) lens for '68 dash clock.

Not sure if other years will fit too?

Needs to be in excellent condition.

    Cheers,

    Ben.

    Hi Ben
Mine in my 73 was plastic. I have just had my gauges restored and they just had a new one cut which was very cheap. Any gauge restorer should be able to get one cut for you if you get stuck.
    Cheers

        Thanks Tom,

the restorer I spoke to purchases kits from North Hollywood (of course!)

As per Andrew's post above, can you tell me who did your gauge resto?

        Cheers,

        Ben.

I used Otto Instruments in Brisbane. Being critical, I'd rate them as okay ie not outstanding. Main issue was some small contamination/dust in some of the bezels ie like it was painted on a cardboard box in the backyard. That said I am happy considering what they were like.

Price was $730, quoted $600ish but the clock and trip metre gave them grief.

So glad I got mine done while the AU$ was high.

North Hollywood did mine for what was $1000 AU inc. shipping. They restored the later electronic speedo (915 box) to look like a 69 complete with studs on the rear to use correct mounting brackets, added the MSD chip in the tacho so no bouncing on any ignition system and set to 7200 redline, converted the clock to quartz, changed the pressure to PSI and the temp to șC (including new sender), polished glass, and new orange needles and screenprinting on faces. I added vintage white LEDs and and the result was near perfection

NHS also adjusted the trip pot in the Kph speedo for the tyre diameter I use, so I have a very accurate speedometer...

That's a lot of work for $1,000 AUD including shipping!

Arguably that would only be another $250 or so now though?
