It is in perfect condition and unmarked.

Its a factory reprint purchased from Porsche at Essen about 10 years ago. From what I understand the only difference is this uses a clear plastic binding and the originals had a white plastic binding.

Rich, I have both an original and repro manuals for a 73 911 and the only noticeable difference is the spiral binding. Everything else appears identical including the type of paper they used.

The original manual has yellowed a little around the paper edges but nothing else I can pick. No doubt Clyde will have spotted a full stop in the wrong position on one of the pages.

I saw some original manuals for sale on US ebay around the US$1000 mark so I guess you have to spend heaps if you want 'original'.

I bought two (what appear to be) original books at Toy & Litt in March this year for $105 (71T) and $80 (77 Turbo).

$1000 is a ludicrous figure - even for genuine ones. The ebay seller probably trades exorbitantly priced tool kits as well

I guess my point is that even if they were 'perfect' reproductions by Porsche themselves, they are still not original...
