I can't agree with that statement mrar, it is a from a 66 built 67 car, the 68 lid has no bar unless it was prior to chassis numbers 12820159, 12870337 or 12801832 depending on type.

They ( the script change from angular to straight) started in 67my changed into the 68my Toby. My car is 68(my) built 67 has bar, it is a 1968 (my) car.
Anyway the lid is not for 66 912.

So you agree with me, all 1967 MY cars had this style of script even those produced in late 66 which is what this is (also a 67MY) car. In early 68 the centre bar was lost and replaced with the 3 bar deckled grill. My 68S which is a 67 built car has the bar style deck lid with the later badge holes but my 68L which is a very early 68 built car has no bar on the deck lid. I did state at the start of the thread that the deck lid came from a late 66 car.

I knew that Toby, should of posted 67(my) up to 68(my).
If the lid came from a late 66 car, we agree that it is off a 67(my) not 66 (my) right?
Plug the holes and re-drill Toby's or find one that came off a <66 (my).

I have sold it to another member so can't sell it twice. I did write it came of a late 66 car, I didn't specify 66MY and am glad you understand it all now. The original post I don't think specified the build date of the car it was to be fitted to, so either could be correct and wouldn't be drilling anything until that is determined.

New one without holes, saves the argument.

I have a grille, but I am also looking for an early lid, front fenders, bumpers, window frames, wheels, seats, etc ... will get there one day :-)
