    2.7 Carrera

    Chanced across this today.

I think this car was in Australia a year or so ago. I have a memory of the car being for sale at about $130K could have been less. Someone here will remember.
It certainly has shot up in value.

Last time that I saw that for sale was at auction late last year (sold 217k usd). I think the last owner in Australia would be a little sad to see the price now.
But these are known as the poor mans 73 rs, who would want one.

Gees I hope it sells somewhere near that given my recent purchase of a gemini blue 74 Carrera also UK delivered with many of the same options.

The asking is $550,000 Aussie at today exchange rate which all the experts say will only get worse (or better if your selling to the UK).

Yes, Autohaus had this for sale I think a 1 1/2 ago. Price was low $100k and at the same time was the blue carrera for sale with the white shag pile carpet for around $99k. If only I had a crystal ball.

It drive well this car I drove it in 2012 form memory. It went really well and the gold wheels just set the paint off beautifully.

Wrong rear guards though.... They look to be late carrera / g50 torsion bar covers.

Apparently it took months and months to sell because no one liked the colour ...

Oh dear. Hindsight is cruel. Not buying this for under $100,000 would leave a bad taste in your mouth. Bit of bitter chocolate with a cinnamon aftertaste..?

Well, 3 years ago California porsche restoration were selling a pipeline full resto 73 rs and wanting $300 k when our dollar was 1.03.

And I went cheap and got the "rich Melbourne greek" blue and white special order Melbourne carrera! Oh well

Dutton want $147k for the targa and $178 for the white t of the punksteam mansion. And they just sold a rhs 2.0 s coupe barnfind for a fair $100k .

Will try a swap for a nice 911L with the new owner.
